Ruben Carbajo, who originally comes from Spain, joined SCA in 2008 and has until now worked as Senior Financial Analyst at SCA Packaging in Brussels. He will start his new position on 1st of May. Ruben has always dreamt of having an international career and he thinks that his co-workers probably don´t know that not so long ago he had long, curly and wild hair!

Tell us Ruben, what is the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is the exposure, the access to multicultural people and projects that gives me the opportunity to learn from all different points of views. The worst is being away from my family in Spain, but we always come back home for Christmas.

How did you find out about this job?

I found out via the SCA Job Portal. A year ago, I went to Shanghai to do a training session in Finance for Non-Finance. As I really enjoyed being there, I have since then been subscribing to the job portal to see all the job opportunities in Asia Pacific. I found it very easy to apply for the job using the job portal, it was easy, all the info that I needed was there and the process was extremely intuitive.

What are your plans for the future?

My plans are to keep on learning, try to face as many people as possible, I think our biggest potential is discovered when our experiences are shared with others.

What do you consider your greatest achievement in life?

I believe that life is a long term race; the most important achievement is to be proud of your daily life. That will make you happier and as a consequence you will make the people around you happier!

If you could invite anyone in the whole world to dinner, who would that be?
