Libresse starts voice battle

Libresse Voice Battle gives girls and young women in Scandinavia the opportunity to break taboos and to express their deepest thoughts about menstruation, friendship and love.

Libresse Voice book and Libresse Voice editionOn libresse.se, libresse.no, libresse.dk and libresse.fi participants may create their own pages with words and images on themes like love, friendship and menstruation.

A jury with representatives from the Red Cross and famous media people will then select contributions from all Nordic countries to be published in the Libresse Voice book. The book will be edited by Swedish writer Linda Skugge. The best three contributions will win a pink LG mini PC, amongst others prizes.

Packaging by young designers

At the same time a limited Libresse Voice Edition is launched with Libresse packaging designed by young female designers.

“I think that these illustrations can enable a dialogue on menstruation and the female body outside the female sphere. Isn’t it cool that women have got their own medium to express thoughts, feelings and images?” says Hanna Westberg, one of the young designers.

The Red Cross’ youth division from all Nordic countries, local media such as the Swedish women’s magazine Veckorevyn and bloggers are supporting the campaign.
