Some of SCA's funding is conducted under commercial paper programmes and by issuance of bonds.
For the issue of bonds in the European debt capital markets, SCA has a Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme with a framework amount of EUR 3,000m (SEK 26,513m). In May 2011 SCA issued EUR 600m notes due 2016 under the programme. At March 31st 2012, SEK 14,466m was outstanding under the programme with an average term of 4.0 years. Of this amount SEK 5,162m was private placements and SEK 9,304m public bonds.
SCA also has USD 450m (SEK 2,979m) notes with remaining term of 3,3 years issued in accordance with rule 144 A, under the US Securities Act of 1933.
SCA’s short term loan programmes comprise a Swedish commercial paper programme with a framework amount of SEK 15,000m and a Belgian commercial paper programme with a framework amount of EUR 400m (SEK 3,535m). At March 31st 2012, the outstanding amounts within these programs were SEK 4,041m and SEK 706m, respectively.
